Lifestyle choices
A lifestyle can typically reflect the attitude of an individual's values or in particular worldview. Therefore, a lifestyle is a means of creating a sense of self to create cultural meaning to resonate with a personal identity. Not all aspects of a certain lifestyle can be entirely voluntary, the social and technical system can limit or even restrict the lifestyle choices available to the individual and the icons of the person who is able to project them to others and themselves.
If there was an example to you then take the green kind of lifestyle, this means holding a belief and taking part in activities that consume or limit the amount of resources used and the produce is less harmful to the environment, this is the sense of oneself holding these beliefs and engaging in these activities as part of their moral stance in life.
However, lifestyle is not confined to the choice of how to live but what to do about certain issues, or guidance for activities such as gardening, shopping, recreation, nature and personal references to health. All these categories can affect the choices and the lifestyle we wish to make and live by.
